I was inspired to make this book after my grandfather died in the fall of 2022. It is a collection of some of his furniture that he designed during his life as well as his sketches and writing which show his humor and vision. For his pieces, he used wood that he sourced from his cabin in Western Pennsylvania, which plays such a strong role in the natural, rugged, and unique feel of his furniture. Because of this, I thought it was necessary to make the book cover out of wood so that as you read through a glimpse of his work, you can connect to the material that he loved and saw so much potential in.
